Saltwell Park

This album was nearly titled "Saltwell Park in the Rain" since I got completely drenched when I ventured there on September 7th 2002. Fortunately the rain eventually stopped and the sun came out, and I was able to take most of these photos, including a couple experiementing with my camera's panoramic function.

Much of Saltwell Park is currently fenced off as a major restoration project is underway. Saltwell Towers is covered in scaffolding, the old Salte Welle has been vandalised and boarded up, and the Dene is completely overgrown with a dried up stream. The old children's play area has been relocated near the bowling green, and the cages for birds and small animals have all been removed.
